Career Development Services

The primary objective of the Career Development Services Office is to help you achieve your career goals. They provide students with the skills and tools needed to conduct a job search, interview, and attain success in your career endeavors. At Westwood, successful employment assistance begins long before you graduate. In fact, our unique approach to career planning and employment assistance begins at registration and continues through post-graduate employment.

On-Campus Employer Recruiting

Each Westwood College campus hosts regular on-campus recruiting events. These events are part of career development activities that give you a chance to learn more about industry trends and employment opportunities in your field of study. These events also offer you a valuable opportunity to network with a variety of employers.

Job Search Techniques

Throughout your program at Westwood, the Career Development Services staff will help you refine your job search skills. They'll be your guide as you review and update your resume, polish your portfolio, and practice your interview skills. They are committed to supporting students in building the lifelong skills and resources you need to launch and take charge of your career.

Employer Contacts

The Career Development Services Office at each campus maintains ongoing contact with many employers. They work with a wide variety of businesses, both large and small, to uncover opportunities for graduates of Westwood programs. Many of these employers have been partnered with Westwood for an extended amount of time, so they understand and respect Westwood's programs.

The Career Development Services Office also works constantly to establish contacts with new employers. They work with Human Resources personnel and directly with hiring managers to understand the needs of the employer.
